I think some people think some things like injustice are worth taking a stand against.
Others just criticise for the sake of it.

Criticising people for taking a stand against an injustice is just strange

There’s ways and means though.

Shouting abuse at a copper outside Downing Street for something a copper in America did is borderline embarrassing and just completely thick.

What must the police think after their shift today. Literally done nothing wrong

No it isn't. It's no more strange than those doing it. All actions are there to be discussed, debated, praised and criticised equally.

Under what circumstances can you see the roles being reversed and their citizens taking to the streets for a single action here?

The difference (and you are intelligent enough to understand) is that any news similar from over here would not be reported over in the States......

Those people in London are melts, and it will turn nasty. As it has in the States,

Been checking the Daily Mail sight for signs of Armageddon in the West End

Six attests so far, 60 less than a sunny day on Eastbourne beach but the nights still early

Tbf we don't really see the full picture of what happened before the police acted. Some folk need a good slapping. Not that I condone police brutality, of course.

And the second vid, there's blokes with caps and bandanas around their faces...who were told to get inside and they just ignored the request.

Loads more of you go looking, I only posted the first two I saw. Surprised to see you defending folk getting shot at on their porches though.

To be fair it’s easier to arrest the average bod at Eastbourne for a Covid related lockdown offence than it is on a demo in central London

Thousands could have been arrested if there was the will and the manpower

It would be. It just wouldn't be seen by many and even fewer would care or relate anything to their own society.

I think you overestimate the reporting in the US!
Have you never been?

(Not related) but the 2012 Olympics had a 20min highlights package daily over there - no live coverage

As crass as it might appear to say, how many of those "protesting" in Trafalgar Square were there to stand shoulder to shoulder with the injustice in the USA, and how many were there waiting for it to kick off?

Back to the point, do you really think the majority of those in Trafalgar Square were there to genuinely protest against the incident in America?

If they were shot at properly from that distance, they'd have taken several hits. I just think tensions are very high and both sides will be worried about potential fatalities.

The police have been fired at before, in similar circumstances; they'll have nervous fingers.

I'm not defending police brutality, never will. But if a copper carrying a gun TD me to get in my house, I wouldn't be stood there filming him/her.
