Fishini,

If you believe in ghosts, do you believe that some people can communicate with the 'dead'?

Their is is atheory of parralell universes living side by side. 7 in fact, simplest way I could describe this, comeing down some steps anywhere in the world. You get to the bottom of the steps, a decision has to be made, 1- turn left, 2- turn right, 3- go straight ahead, 4-turn back up the steps, whichever decision you make changes your life in some small way.Hence parrelell universes simple hey.

Bringing this thread back from the dead because I've just looked at where I used to live in Pompey on Google street view, and there's a bloke who looks like my dear old dad* walking out of it! Made my blood run cold for a second!

*Dad didn't have a blurry face, of course.

Went on a ghost hunt last night. The few sceptics that were there were well and truely converted by the end of the night. The spirit world does exist if your mind is open enough to see it

Are you suggesting that something can only exist if your mind perceives it to be?

Isn't it more likely that the spirit world exists if your mind is open to any old claptrap.

Remember of all the people who have ever lived approx 50% are still alive so look around there's plenty of space for the departed.

We did one in York back in Sept but have to admit it was a bit too show biz for me. It was more of a laugh than a scare.

Which one did you do?

I have tried others and like you find them false. Good fun but staged. Until I found ghost night events. Done 8 with them now 2 of which nothing happened at all. Spirit activity is not guaranteed. Ghost night events are defiantly not fixed I have seen things that astound me. Sceptics have come and gone home believers. The ones that sadden me are the ones who have such closed minds and narrow vision that they will not even admit to the possibility that there maybe something else. They are IMO the ones who are most scared of things unknown

good thread.....i got ridiculed at work ,because i told the lads i was having a dream about eating strawberries(dont ask me why) and i could taste the strawberries, they said you cannot experience flavour in a dream and i replied that my brain must have stored the taste and produced something when i was dreaming...they laughed....strange but true it was vivid.
As for ghosts i had an experience once about 20 years ago,i woke up in the middle of the night and a figure was standing against the far wall of my bedroom,it came towards me straight by me and dissapeared,i never saw its face and i cant recall seeing is legs but only its upper torso.i wasnt running a temperature so it was either my eyes adjusting to the dark or it was a ghost of some sort.Im not into ghost stories the paranormal or anything remotely like it but i saw something that night
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

I had a really strange experience last night. I was watching TV in bed when I felt that there was someone in the room with me. I couldn't see or hear anything and there was no evidence of anything, other than a feeling I was being watched. At the same time my cats woke and began staring at the same spot in the bedroom.... The temperature dropped considerably it was rather eerie to say the least. Can't explain what happened but in my own mind I had a visitor from the spirit world. It would have been a spirit I know just trying to communicate nothing to be frightened of
