Tonights result is a good result. Yes of course we should of won, yes of course we needed 3 points but I agree with Rico, it is something to build on.
When a team loses 5 games on the bounce, confidence is low. I feel that tonight there is a big difference for us in terms of a 1-1 draw in which we were losing, as opposed to a 1-1 draw in a game we were winning.
3 things I noticed tonight that support Rico's claims that 'I am my own man'
1. 2 players left up hen they had a corner. I have only seen Nicky Law's side do this. Mac was leaving nobody up.
2. Positive substitutions with plenty of time left.
3. No long throw apart from at the end.
o.k maybe not major changes, but we have stopped the rot, reached 40 points and have what i believe is a good run in.
Away
Yeovil not winnable
Northampton winnable
Cheltenham winnable
Oldham not winnable
Home
Crewe winnable
Gills winnable
Bradford winnable
this is not to say i expect us to win these games, but they are winnable.
well done tonight lads, great battling performance, good support.
we may go down, but if we can get the confidence back We will STAY UP (even if we lose on sat)

I think both strikers did reasonably well last night, Larkin ran his socks off, but the thing is they never look like scoring. To be fair to them they are not getting the best service and the only chances they are getting are via mistakes by the opposition defenders or ones they create for themselves. Also last night right at the death cheif had a half chance but his shot was comfortably saved by Sullivan, these are the chances which seperate a good team from a bad team and ones we need to be taking in the situation were in.

The said tried hard last night and still the same old story can't score apart from the penalty.
We needed a win last night and now we have to beat Yeovil to stand any decent chance of stopping up.

I'm with you, but.................
Why can't we go to the Yeovil game and take something? I think we can!
another point will set us up for the telling games in April, bearing in mind that our rivals have difficult games on saturday! a point would be a good un and you never know we might take all 3!

I'll take a 0-0 or a 1-1.

Quite agree. Is 1point every two games going to keep us up?

We still have a monutain to climb but at least now we are dressed for the occasion, even if some of the equipment isn't of the best quality.

You are right about their goal, it went exactly where it was impossible to save, and just inside the post, but the really worrying thing is that we posed absolutely no threat up front at all. We are clearly pinning all our hopes on Ward riding to the rescue as soon as he's fit; I really hope the lad does that, but it's asking an awful lot after a bad injury.
