England starting to step up to the mark after a poor start, if Afghanistan beat Bangladesh India or Australia will be goners!

Last 2 games in that group are Convicts v India and Afghans v Bangladesh. The Convicts are shell-shocked after last night's mauling by the Afghans.

I'm surprised at that, but I remember Ron Yeats being on my Typhoo Tea Liverpool FC team photo but I can't remember the year that was. I know he didn't replace Tommy Smith so I'll be scratching my head now as I'd rather do that than Google it 😁.

Weren't Phil Thompson and Emlyn Hughes in that position between Yates finishing & Hansen starting?

    Edited for you, pal.

But hey, I didn't vote for 'em...

I'd point out that no one has voted for the last 2 governments after Johnson's election victory, other than the Tory Backbenchers!

I don't see it as hatred towards Southgate, more of frustration. Like others have already said we have some very capable players in this group, but they are being stifled by the tactics which EVERYONE can see but those who can do something about it. Its by the time the journos who get access to interview Southgate and players started to to make them them aware of the feelings of the fans and other respected former England players such as Shearer, Ferdinand, Wright Richards and Keane etc.

BTW On another point, did I hear correctly when Kyle Walker was interviewed he mentioned about a hostile atmosphere. I didnt witness a great deal of hostility?

They will next match v Slovenia, from the England fans if they play the same stupid way!
