Couple of days !! It’s only a rumour.

A well substantiated rumour reported by the local press in Stockport.

They may well be getting their information from social media, just as most do these days. I'm not saying it's wrong but anything a jurno says has usually got to be taken with a JCB bucket full of salt.

I’d imagine a player like Madden would have a few offers on the table and he (and his agent) will take their time
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Liam Norcliffe retweeted the Stockport journo's story and he's doesn't tend to deal in idle speculation.

He may well do that and I'm not saying the information is wrong. I tend to believe what I see regarding transfers. These last few weeks I've been told we're keeping King, Banks was holding out for more cash and Sheffield United are in for Dobra, all supposedly from a cast iron source. It's fun reading it all though. Agents create fictional interest to command top dollar for players on their books, which I understand, and they wouldn't be very good agents if they didn't do that.

I'm pretty sure you're right mate. It would be stupid to take the first offer on the table without testing the market.

Just heard another gem, and that is, if Everton drop into the Championship, then Tyrer will be their new number one goalie, with Pickford transferred on 🤣. This is from a bloke, who knows a bloke who's mates with a kid who knows someone who heard a conversation between a barber and a scouser plumber who's been working at the ground 😁.

Well considering they're safe (as long as they don't get another points deduction they don't know that's coming!) we can kill that one stone dead!

Lol
Although a similar situation turned out ok for Ramsdale...

Tyrer is a good keeper but he’s nowhere near being Everton number one whatever league they are in.

Correct mate, he has a lot to learn, but I think Town will have connections to another England keeper sometime in the future. I really hope he comes back for another season.

I think we may have competition in getting Tyrer back next season, I personally feel he will end up at a League one side, with him returning to Everton the following campaign as a bench keeper and probably first team once Pickford has gone.

Anything could happen with the premier League, unless you're Man City of course.

Yep, and Ramsdale wasn't half the keeper Tyrer is when he was with us.

Tbh, I'm not overly concerned re Tyrer coming back as we have Ryan Boot - and he's decent

Can't remember if I've seen him linked on here but 30 year old right back scouser by the name of Rafferty released by Pompey. Played the majority of league games this season in a league 1 title winning team, he was surprised he wasn't offered another deal as he thought he could do a job in the championship.

Pompey and scouser connection.....

He’d be a great signing. Can’t see it personally but you never know.
