Even those calling everyone bed-wetters who have dared complain about the last half dozen games, must be wondering how quickly our stock has fallen and that this is dire. Cookie will be weilding his scythe this summer.

The defending might be dire but still some good attacking football this half. Should have had another goal.

Good goal.

On balance we deserve the win. Some lovely attacking moves at times.

Boreham Wood relegated. Tshimanga goal ruled out for offside in the 84th minute

A great season overall. Everyone would have taken this if asked last summer.

One of the away fans has a machine gun. Never seen that before.

Decent turnout from the dormitory town, many in fancy dress.
[/quote Saw the guy with a machine gun before game down canal. It was flat & he asked a guy on a bike if he had a puncture repair kit. Lol Him & his mates were walking to ground from station. All in fancy dress.]

That match was the whole season in a nutshell. Some great football. Some very dodgy defending. The quality and belief to grind out the win. Some save from Tyrer at the death.

Love it, hope they do it again next season too.

What a season we've had to get it wrapped up so early is testament to the best manager and players in League.

Some really nice fans from Maidenhead. Complete class unlike the dorks from Oldham. I hope they do a bit better next season.

Because of their over the top behaviour at our place, acting as though they’d won the league….keep up.

Ranodm thoughts from today

We've won the league.

Hardly news but

We do better when we get the ball to our better footballers' feet in the opposition's half. We do better when our better players, with the ball in the opposition's half make accurate passes forward and in front of our other better players. Fairly often it results in a goal for us when we do this.

We do less well when we get the ball to our less capable footballers in our own half. We do less well when our less capable players loft knee, thigh or neck-high passes sidewards or backwards vaguely towards our other less capable players in our own half. Fairly often it results in a goal for them when we do this.

Not much else to say really

I don’t think CPS actually reads the board, he just comments on it, or all the nuances and in jokes just go over his head.

Defensive frailties, late winners and nicely done celebrations (and behaviour) aside … Got to say fair play to Maidenhead for making game of it and I thought their travelling fans were class today, many stopping a while to watch the party progress.
Let’s hope they have a better season next time around :)
