Young lad still learning his trade. He's been behind too many poor defences so far. He might start to make a name for himself now.

He’s not a “ young lad”, he’s 23 for goodness sake. What’s more, he’s not leaning his trade, he’s got 120 games under his belt. You make him sound like an inexperience’s teenager!

120 games for a 23 yr old keeper is impressive, he’s obviously very very good.
East stand second class citizen.

A couple of Arsenal fans at work were very unhappy when he was signed but now say he was probably one of their better recent signings....

That’s not saying much. It baffles me how a club like Arsenal can have so apparently poor a scouting network whereas clubs like Brentford get it so right on a fraction of the spend.

Ramsdale is okay, has potential etc but I can’t see him being a top Premier League keeper. It bugged me yesterday when he decided to lie down pretending to be injured after a challenge instead of getting up and trying to save a follow-up, but I guess in these days of VAR that’s a calculation keepers make and think they will get away with, more often than not.
These go to eleven.

Arsenals scouting network is probably second to none as it happens

The results of it are not. Compare cash spent to talent in the first team. That is surely what a scouting network is ultimately all about.
These go to eleven.

Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

You do realise that a goal keepers is not considered to be in his prime until late 20's, early 30's.

Ramsdale will be a very good keeper and will be part of the England setup for years to come

Should we not be happy that Arsenal are playing such a young english keeper than going for a foreign recruit keeping promising english players out the team

How are English players able to shine unless they get game time? He will make mistakes and he will learn from them

Don’t be that guy.

Arsenal has always been the most respected in terms of talent development.
I don’t like the club particularly but their development process is superb

Fair enough. I would argue that Arsenal’s process, no matter how established and respected, is not currently serving their first team well as it should.
These go to eleven.

Brentford might argue differently given resources, league position and amounts spent
A new hope.

I take it you don’t know much about Brentford’s set up over the last few years?
They’ve done brilliantly but don’t be fooled always by league positions etc

Nope, only
That they have recruited very well, spending relatively small amounts and selling on for large profits.

I doubt that happens if your scouting is rubbish but I’m all ears if you know some one and outs of it
A new hope.

just watched the highlights on motd (and by the way that really does deserve the title "match of the day") 2 fantastic saves by our former loanee, interesting symetry today with our game of early goal/late goal, although the bournemouth goal a bit earlier than gateshead. wonder if an ex-town loanee has ever won the top league title before???
