Yep, it's an incredible point to be fair. I thought literally every member of every other political party were all squeaky clean and every single Tory was corrupt or a nonce. Thank goodness you're here to show me and others otherwise.

But that's just a lazy cliche, in't it.

SKS has suspended a succession of members suspected of wrongdoing. Then, if necessary, expelled/withdrawn the whip from those found guilty.

Including the ex Labour leader.

Contrast that with the Priti Patel allowed to carry on regardless despite breaking the ministerial code. With Jenrick too. Contrast it with the tories cynically seeking to change the rules rather than accept Paterson's guilt. With the known sexual predator Pincher being appointed a whip - the scandal which eventually brought down the Liar. With the delay and indecision surrounding Williamson and Zahawi and Raab's eventual exits. With Braverman being re-appointed only six short days after her firing.

The same Braverman who then lied about using her office for personal business yet still in situ because Sunak's too scared to sack her.

Meanwhile the utterly discredited Boris Alexander DePfeffel Johnson, probably the most corrupt PM in more than a century, is still championed by vast swathes of his party.

So no Mark, they're not "all the same", are they...

I'd like to see the full list of all of 'em that have claimed their speeding fines back. Probably only Tories.

Yeah you're right, Labour is a fantastic, sqeaky clean, political party. Always have been, always will be. I right with you comrade.

So is that it, Mark?

Lame sarcasm in response to rational points? Well documented facts? And after a mindlessly stereotypical snipe?

Not long since summat similar when your "Labour scum" accusations were reasonably expolored, too.

Well okay, fair enough; but can you do me a favour?

Just remember your own dodgery before piously accusing others of it in future...

The difference is when it came out he was instantly suspended. Can the Tories boast the same? There will always be wrong ones. It's the way they are dealt with that is the difference between the two parties

Except he's apparently well known for this sort of thing in Westminster so it's taken it going from 'open secret' to something actually being reported for these steps to be taken.

Also the attached puts an interesting spin on things doesn't it?

Can anyone be suspended before the people actually report it?

If you heard a loads of rumours that someone you knew was a danger would you be interested in confirming or denying them before you spent anymore time with them?

Unless someone comes forward how can you confirm anything?

Let's have a little bet, shall we?

If found guilty of these allegations the Labour MP will:

(1) See his parliamentary mates and most the media parroting his self pitying excuses why he's done nowt wrong and try to change the rules to avoid punishment (Paterson)?

(2) See his leader at best dither and dawdle (Williamson, Zahawi, Raab) or at worst simply ignore everything and carry on regardless (Patel, Jenrick, Braverman)?

(3) See him appointed to a senior position (Pincher, Braverman)?

(4) Have the whip removed effectively expelling him?

Know what my money's on...

It can be investigated... you're relying on someone coming forward against one of the top 500ish most powerful people in the country on an allegation that traditionally people don't want to come forward about and one that rarely ever gets a conviction anyway. Awful lot of scope for a predatory offender to do this time and time and time again without getting caught, as we've seen in multiple cases before. Call me naive but trying to nip this kind of thing in the bud before the most damage is caused is probably wise, no?

Starmer (Mt Democracy) has forbidden Jamie Driscoll to stand for reelection. What’s Driscoll done to upset Starmer, I genuinely don’t know and would be interested to learn .
