Looks like the stadium is being spruced up nicely.
New dugouts looking nice, Really looking forward to the new PA system, might actually hear what Colin is saying now lol
Must say though I'm not sure on these "safety nets" behind the goal, are people really that daft that we need nets to stop them getting hurt?
I have witnessed several fans getting hurt by wayward balls, including youngsters.I arrive quite early due to transport and see the warm ups,I always pay attention but have had to parry on two occasions. As a pensioner I was used to the old case balls, everyone always says how much lighter/softer newer style balls are but I can honestly say even when you see them coming and have time to react they still sting to say the least,so for fans I think in today's climate it is surprising that they have not been erected before now. -

Var is a poison which will eventually kill the game by eliminating the excitement, intensity and immediacy that is what football is all about. Getting a small increase in the percentage of 'correct' decisions is an inadequate return for completely removing all the pace and drama that makes it the best game in the world. The feeble excuse that it works well in other countries is IMO simply a result of the fact that our game is quicker, more exciting and intense than you will generally find anywhere else in the world, so VAR is less destructive because games in other countries are already more stop-start than here. It might take quite a while, but I'm predicting that persevering with VAR will eventually destroy the game as a spectacle. The positive aspect is that it might encourage more interest in and support for leagues below Premiership level which hopefully will remain uninfected by it.
Well put,that will do for me.👍 -

I may just be mis-remembering but I feel like we actually looked more solid against the better teams and strikers than we did against the lesser lights where we thought we could defend 10 yards in to their half. I'm not saying that we don't need some added quality at the back, we do, but I think it will also be interesting to see what an adjustment in tactics might do to improve our solidity next year. We hardly looked over-run versus higher league teams in the cup, did we?
A thoughtful analysis of fact may be misplaced with some of our contributors.I have concerns on what we witnessed last season, defensively,as will most Spireites, but surely we are not niieve enough to think PC and his team are not setting up for next season in a way that will bring more success than failure?
