Southend fans seem to be worried that the much heralded consortium of buyers are now close to collapse. I guess dealing with Ron Martin, the council and the glacial pace of events is taking its toll.
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story

It will be no income in the close season that will do for them. The consortium I doubt will not have the means to see it through, do ground repairs and then pay for all other aspects like insurances .

Then they have to show they can finance a full fixture list.

If a club like ours was 2 weeks away from going bang they ain?t going to survive.

The league will just give them another ten point deduction and a transfer embargo and the winding up petition will be adjourned, clubs like a cat with 9 lifes

Longer running than The Mousetrap this. It's sad if a club goes bust but there's 23 other clubs in the league that want to know what's happening. Would many clubs, North or South, be afforded this length of time to get a takeover done and dusted. They need clubs like Southend, Oldham and York in the league to attract the telly money. I think if a club like Wealdstone were to have these problems, in my opinion, they'd be gone ages ago.
