Didn’t realise. So in effect no early bird??

Don’t see your reasoning there. That suggests that if you wait until after that date you’ll run the risk of someone might take your seat and you’ll have to move and pay extra for then privilege. Still sounds like an early bird to me.

I noticed there was a story on the main site that stated we had set a new ST record with 4500 sold - but it was taken down quickly

Isn't he at that point now and on the radar of clubs a bit higher up the pyramid?

However one scout I spoke to spoke of him lacking athleticism, so its possible that the importance placed on data these days may count against him.

People said that about Dallas and in the end he got his move, pretty ill judged by Barnsley by the looks. Not sure about Conn-Clarke, think this scout of yours has a point.

Would be intresting to know how many efl clubs have iffy leases on stadiums think thats my biggest gripe, yes i know rules dont apply to existing clubs but they should be so any clubs who dont have a ten year lease or more have say 2 year to get one or are demoted out the league.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out there is an element that they don’t want poorly supported clubs like Gateshead weakening the league any further so probably didn’t give them any benefit of the doubt. As far as your suggestion about demotion, that just smacks of bitterness and anyway it is easier to prevent a promotion than sanction a relegation. I’d expect measures like that would require EFL clubs voting on it - another case of turkeys voting for Christmas.

While were are on the subject why are Gateshead so poorly supported when the likes of South Shields get very respectable attendances and came from absolutely nowhere. I know Gateshead is just across the river from Newcastle but South Shields is hardly remote. Does South Shields have more identity than Gateshead?
