I'll remember King's goals, cutting in from the left and letting fly, some of them at important times. At one point last season he was being touted by some, as one of the best players in the National League, and a few managers talked about him with envy along the lines of, "when you've got the likes of King etc". Good at going foward and overlapping but not a defender. He won't be short of a club or two chasing him. Another player who'll be fondly remembered. He's layed down a few fond memeories for me.

Same here - I really like Kingy, and I'm sorry to see him go. He did get caught out occasionally playing RB against a tricky winger, but he was brilliant at times attacking down our right side and linking with Mandy. I think he is still capable of doing well at NL or even L2 level in a team shape that gives him fewer defensive responsibilities. I reckon he could be very effective as a right-sided attacking player in a team playing 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. I've got a sneaking feeling we might find him facing us in L2 next season.

I've no doubt PC will strengthen our playing squad, which is sensible when you move up a step. I do think, however, that many people are overestimating the gap in quality between top NL teams and teams in L2. Wrexham have sailed straight through L2 and up to L1, but last season, on a face to face measure, we were better than them. With a couple of additions, and perhaps a slight adaptation to our style of play, I think we will be challenging at the top end of L2.

Well done Ipswich, but I'm mostly really pleased for Sam Morsy, who was brilliant for us, and is as honest and hardworking a professional as you'll see at any level. It's great to see him get to the Premier League, but it could be a while before we can welcome him back here I think.

I despise Carson but I won't go that far with Allen as after all he did give us a Championship, a Wembley cup win & the new stadium. These things in the positive column negate some of the negatives but not all.

A balanced comment IMO. I don't think it's right to totally condemn a bloke who chucked millions of pounds of his own money into the club, and never got it back. Of course all of us are far happier with the current situation where our benefactors are truly committed to the club and the town; long may it continue!

Brilliant player - one of my all-time favourites. As I posted a while ago, it's going to be a few more years before he drops down to our level.
