If you'd like to talk about football I'm always happy to oblige, though your efforts so far have been feeble to say the least. If you find yourself reduced to parroting a silly child's insults it's perhaps time to think about acting like an adult.

these couple of posts are going to be the death of this thread never mind the death of the football club.
back to the point of the thread though, i personnally think the death of this club started prior to DB. I personally think this was started under Cox's era at the club when it nearly went to the wall. OK JNL took the club over being a very shrewd business man and operated the club like a business and did a good job with it releasing money only under the agreement that the player coming in was financially worth the fee (though others may disagree) i think after that we went down hill.

We have fallen behind almost every club in the league with Saltergates `facilities`since the Taylor report in the late 1980`s.

Didnt think Northants was that bad, Stanley and Cheltenham are recently up from non league. The grounds reflect this.
Let me rephrase then.
Left behind by clubs who were in the football league at the time of the taylor report. Hartlepool and rochdale being a good example.
