Here is me thinking we elect parties and policies - not an individual. Not hearing much about those at the moment...

(Intrigued how someone so supportive of the other party knows all about Sunak's inner sanctum and what happened in the lead up to the announcement - and of course can be sure it hasnt been enhanced or rehashed to suit the purpose of the party that he follows... but hey, that's politics, say something as fact often enough so people believe it).

When they start talking about specifics of policies - what do they intend to do with income tax rates and thresholds, how will they deal with benefits that should be based on household income not individual income, what will they do with corporation tax, CGT, IHT, how do they plan to resolve the NHS conundrum, what are they going to do about pensions inequality, how do we solve the homeless problem, how do we better care for our aged.... you know stuff that matters, not what Sunak said to some workers in Wales or why Starmer was at Gillingham for s scripted photo op with supporters...

I for one will be more than a bit miffed if Starmer announces that he will continue the arrangement whereby the very, very rich are able to take 30% profit from public funded schemes under Labour (PPA scheme; 30% profit as norm was allegedly reported by an entrepreneur during the covid enquiry).

If Starmer stops spaffing 30% of public money to the super rich, that would equate to a fairly significant difference in economic policy in my book. And a very welcomed one.

Instead they can spaff it on other things, all politicians have their own pet projects and Labour will have theirs. In fact several for all different wings of the party!

and who says the people in Wales support the Welsh...? I thought we had a multi cultural rainbow society on every high street...?

Rishi 'soak the rich' Sunak's opportunity to speak to the people?

    Oh dear... https://news.sky.com...-event-13141503

"because there are pool arrangements" suggests that there are agreements in place to pool resources in the collection of data for news stories - so he shouldnt have been there. Fairly straightforward really and says more about the sky news reporter than anyone. Thankfully I dont support them with any of my money...

Imagine say that it was a union agreement and management had someone in the room who wasnt part of that agreement, would you want them to stay then?

1 out of 10 on the points scoring scale, and that for effort so early....

Yes they would. They would also hide the truth, just like they have for decades over the child sex scandal. Don't be so naive

Its true that sarcasm doesnt come across in the written word...

    Hi,
Sorry to bother you. I believe you worked for a hotel chain in London and previously had access to discount codes.
It’s a bit of a long shot and very last minute. But could you let me know if this is still the case.
I only ask as my part is due to go to London on Friday and the hotel she was booked into has canceled last minute.
    Thanks
    Andy ...

Happy to get you a ticket for Chelsea if you're struggling. Regards Nigel.

Thanks for the invite - would have loved to have joined you but I am moving house tomorrow so day not in the office or in London!
Might have joined as the political conversations might have been more up my street than most on the board!

If you live in London, you're welcome to join a couple of Spireites tomorrow (Monday) evening where the main topic of conversation will be Chesterfield FC amongst other things. All very friendly. We'll be in the Williamson Tavern near St Pauls about 7.30. Sorry for the short notice.
    regards
    John
