I believe if we win on Saturday we will have 18 consecutive home wins beating the current club record set way back in the late 1920's!!!!

The current run includes all competitions, whereas the quoted previous record (17 in 1929-30) was for league games only. In the middle of that older run we drew an FA Cup game. I think the longest run in all competitions was probably broken a few games ago. If we can keep winning at home, we'll break the 1929-30 record against Oxford City, I think.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

More to the point, can you imagine the meltdown on here if we wore the kit that the 1929 team wore??

Some folk explode if the shade of blue is out but striped shirts….

Southend had their third game in a row called off last night, not played since Jan 13th!

After the TNT sport love in with them last time, the fact they’ll be fresh, and the fact all good runs come to an end I fully expect them to beat us on Saturday, just one of those feelings!

Don’t forget the earlier run was done with no subs and a nothing squad - better achievement imo.
God I hate this league.

All teams then had smaller squads and no substitutes, so it was a level playing field then, as it is now.

Aren’t they the only side left who could do the double over us?

We traditionally haven’t got an amazing record against Southend at home, so it would be nice to break another duck.

All they did at Southend was to shut us down and worked very hard. They stopped us from playing and capitalised on a couple of mistakes.

In the 30 times we've played them at home in league matches (FL or NL) we've won 15, drawn 8 and lost 7. So once again you haven't done your research.

Our pitch will be a lot better than theirs was that day as well.

It’s not been as good as it was but it’ll still be better than the ploughed field they had in that game.

Oh no it’s not, look at the have’s and have nots in this league. Part time teams versus the likes of us. Teams have not got the same size squads in our league atm so there are big discrepancies ?
God I hate this league.

Not sure. I have a feeling complacency setting in with the crowd. Gates starting to drop and atmosphere flat in recent games. I am going for 8k.

You have a feeling? Can't have. Where there's no sense there's no feeling.
