course it was. only interested in the club not actually wanting to take it over. Probably wanting to do something on it and not invest in it

Sorry folks, I could well be responsible!! I'd left a message on a CFC message board saying I'd love to bring some new faces to the club from Northern Ireland!!! I was talking about bringing a group of lads over to see a match ... maybe the board thought I was part of an investment consortium!!!
Humble apologies!

They should be asked to give a detailed update on the situation without naming names. If it has fallen flat, make them say so.

word on the street does seem to confirm the dave allen thing, and him pulling out, reason unknown.
if "ma" was to announce this now, i dont think season tickets will sell very well.
we have until september. thats when "ma" needs the finances in place to fund the DEMA build. fingers crossed. its gonna be a rough ride for CFC without the new ground.

If you believed it you were deluded.
After he came out with the "interested parties" statement about a couple of weeks later when some people stated that he needed to go. He then came out with the statement on Radio Dee Daa that if anyone wanted to to invest then to do so.
So was he talking to anyone or not.
You decide...

Negotiations continue, as far as I know, with the same main potential investor as well as with the developer, the contractor, the council and partners on the Dema site. I expect an announcement in a few weeks.
If the current Board feel that this way offers a better option than RPS then it might happen in place of, or in conjunction with, such an offer.

If it is not a better option than the doomed RPS then it must be pretty iffy...
