Would it be fair to say that a league one final between Sheff Wed v Bolton would be a bigger supported final than Luton v Coventry?
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Good chance that Wednesday v either Bolton or Barnsley could top the other one. Think Coventry will take plenty but not sure how big a fan base Luton actually have. Wednesday took just shy of 40,000 to to their last play off final in 2016.

I was thinking the same last night after the game.

When was the last time the L1 playoff was ‘bigger’ than the Championship play off?
Has it ever happened?

I can’t see Coventry v Luton getting around 80,000 but I’d say Wednesday v Bolton would be up there.

The RMT and ASLEF haven't had their input yet.
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

No we wouldn't. Cookie isn't a manager who does sitting back and hanging on, even when it looks like the way to go. With a four goal cushion, a bit of taking the game to the opposition would surely have rattled Wednesday.
Wise after the event, but you have to wonder about the Posh tactics.

Second half they didnt have a shot of any kind, not even a speculative off target effort. They just ended up camped in barely able to get out of their own half with hacked clearances picked up by Wednesday players to start attacking again.

Talking to a guy who lives near Chester. Has a Luton season ticket and goes to every game, home and away. Last one he missed was away to Plymouth on a Boxing day some years ago if I recall.
I find I'm supporting Luton just because of fans like that who deserve success. Did hate going to Luton and the ground though - absolute pits.

It should be easy to break out of a defensive mind-set, but how often have we seen that once you're in that position it can be nigh on impossible to find a way out. Funny old game.

Good friend is a Coventry fan so will be hoping they win. He's been all over watching them and had a season ticket the season they played at Birmingham as well.

Yeh they just got more camped in the longer it went on. Clarke-Harris was the only outlet and he got nothing out of the wednesday defenders. It just gave Wednesday the impetus to just keep pushing.

Man City v Gillingham was bigger than Bolton v Watford in 1999 (76,935 v 70,343)
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish

It’s slightly bizzare that City’s fanbase has seemingly reduced since those days!
500 tickets unsold (as of yesterday) for the FA Cup final in their end!

Travel disruption isnt there plus the ticket prices are hefty!! £70 to sit nearly at the back of the top tier.

Luton took 42000 for the 2009 JPT Final v Scunny. They've been allocated 36493 for the playoff final which I expect they'll shift.

Something they've done quite a bit recently....suspect most will be saving to try and go to the Champions League final even though its at this inviting looking place in Turkey!!

Feel almost as gutted as I did after the town game.
I hate both dee dahs. Dreadful season if they both get promoted and we haven’t. Hope Barnsley or even Bolton will do them.

Which pales into insignificance when you're in the Champions league final the following week. I guess finances dictate many choose between one or the other

Jeez guys, I think you really do need to take a reality check or at least give yourselves a long hard pinch on the arm
