I clicked on about half way through, they was talking about road signs so it lasted about three seconds. Probably wasn’t great timing on my part

You should have listened more carefully. As Marcia indicates, the discussion concerned potential road closures on the A61 next Tuesday evening impacting adversely on fans’ travel to the Oxford game. If that’s not a matter likely to concern fans, I don’t know what is!

I thought the signs posted at the Tesco roundabout, date wise was quite clear that it didn’t?

I should have listened more carefully? I was one of 23 listeners for that 3 seconds how are the other several thousand fans going to cope? I’ve never listened before will try again next week but from the start this time.

But the Derbyshire traffic site said it finished on 16th.

So maybe the club should confirm with the relevant traffic authority and publish the outcome?

Yes, some people knew there were roadworks, but didn't know how long for so were concerned about the 7k+ people that may not know about them. It could cause problems especially as it appears that despite the signs saying 9th March and some of the online stuff saying 9th March, there is also one notice on one network that says it is carrying on until 16th March. As was mentioned at the meeting, they felt the club should be approaching the council and asking them if they could at least put off starting work that evening until 8pm to at least get everyone to the ground without any issues.

All good intentions but will you get results? You have to see the irony here, getting the Highways Dept., (or whatever guise they fall under) to do something sensible would be akin to asking the National league to do similar, no chance.

Don't ask, you don't get. If the roadworks are indeed carrying on for a further week and they won't delay the start by an hour for 1 night, then at least the club will know to put the information out there.

I don't disagree and you're right to do so. I have no confidence in the HD however when it comes to common sense.

It was raised for the first time tonight and it was confirmed the club will be told and asked to publish the outcome. Surely this should be applauded?
Why have a downer on people who make the effort to attend and make progress?

Confirmed that the Club, Chesterfield police have asked for more tickets. Oldham have provided there minimum allowance as they have the rights to do. Case closed I’m afraid.

What do you expect? Hollywood type production? Run by volunteers who give their time up. Every fan had the opportunity to play a part. I guess you didn’t?
Have some patience with the people who did.

The Club has no influence on the Highways Dept but will try. Surely that’s worth applauding instead of decrying?
Ps that’s not irony..

No downer at all, fair play to them/you, did you find the answer? It was a light hearted prod at the “apparent” disinterest.
I applaud you all for attempting to make progress whilst I was doing the Mail on line puzzles.

Sorry if you think my post was being negative it definitely wasn't. Must try harder. The irony bit was me comparing both the NL and HD two administrative bodies that I have no faith in what so ever.

👍.
The reason given is “safety…”.
I suspect it’s the potential for trouble with a bit of spite 😂
