Personally I wouldn’t be surprised or upset to see him back here next season. He made it clear he wanted out of the NL even before joining us, so fair play for giving it a crack at Barnsley, it just hasn’t worked out. But I doubt he would want to move back to tier 5 permanently. On todays showing he just needs a bit of fitness and sharpness, I would take him as a different option in the squad in L2 - we only have 2 strikers after all…

Dallas is a good player when surrounded by other good players. Had he signed for us, he would have had lots of game time, scored a hatfull of goals and put himself in the shop window. He was ill advised and ended up marooned in Scotland. He's not really shone at Oldham and the fans haven't taken to him - until today - but one swallow doesn't make a summer. He could yet flourish at Oldham but much will depend on him having some quality around him.

Ironic that you were one slagging Cook off for getting rid of Kabby & that he never signed Dallas over an ageing has been in Grigg

As for Dallas, yes good for us at the time & had an opportunity to be with us, but it was his agent more than Dallas that wanted the ‘better’ move
Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Cook made a cheeky bid based on his faltered market value these days.

Rose tinted spec aside, he probably chose the right deal at the time.

I really wanted Dallas to sign with us. I think Cook and the team would have got him as fit as a butchers dog and firing on all cylinders.
Now, I wouldn't bother with him. He showed his lack of commitment to football let alone to us by not signing.
A player who puts in half a shift ain't no good to us, let alone Oldham
