Not for me, we need McGuire's build and height. Bucannan is targeted at set plays when defending.

I hope we go with a back 4 asap
Saturday's back three helped to get our first win of the season.
The same back three helped in our survival following Shez's return last season.
I've never really liked the idea of a back three since Caldwell put me off it.
However, it does seem to work with the right personnel and if we continue to pick up the right results using this system then finding a starting place for Buchanan is the least of my concerns.
But, there will be times when the system has to be changed as teams will work out how to play against us and having the ability to change formats within the squad will then be important.

Maguire offers very little going forwards, and if your looking at the formation Saturday, then Buchanan at LWB offers you more offensively.
Maguire may be a better option alongside Yarney and Evans, as he is more composed and his distribution is better than Hollis, and they have similar mobility.

I thought we had a back four. Josef and Laurie played right and left back most of the time in my opinion. Rowley right mid, Liam left mid, with Smith and Weston in the middle.

Smith was RWB. The back 5 was exactly what it was last season when we was doing well except maguire replaces Chapman at LWB

We play with 3 centre-backs and 2 wing backs at home usually. The reason we are rubbish is because we signed some awful centre-backs in Hollis and Gerrard and released all our wing backs (Barry and JBW). That's right, Sheridan planned to play with wing backs so he released the two we had and refused to sign any. This is why he needs the sack.

Barry refused to sign because he was offered 2 yrs as opposed to our 1 yr offer - his injury and the finances of the club were the main influence in our offer made. Don't think Shez influenced that. JWB was a disaster for us I'm glad he went. I still maintain Shez had the financial rug pulled from beneath him after he'd signed/promises made never materialized.
