Rubbish! Getting to the PL under Mandaric did not fck up Pompey. Mandaric selling the club on at a huge personal profit to a bunch of Russian arms dealers certainly did do that!

Michael certainly looks to have the talent, perhaps he needs a couple of years to develop into a first team player, as Tendayi did. He must have impressed them in training to be given another deal. He's a very big lad which will help him and it can't hurt to allow a promising youngster time to develop, he'll hardly be expensive. As you say, the reserve team will really help him and our other youngsters.

Someone has tweeted there's a restrictive covenant in the release clause on Cook's contract (similar to Brendan Rodgers, from Swansea to Liverpool) that prevents him signing any of our players for a defined period. If that was correct portsmouth could not have bid for GR.

Saunders has said that they have bid so there isn't one in place or Cooke has failed to read that bit.
