RIP Delroy, saw him lay 2 Millers fans out behind the goal who were giving it large. Gave a Villa fan a good thump at their place.
A kop legend certainly knew how to get the kop going, remember the special trains he used to run with Crooty.

Sad news
On another note saw Barry Watson in the Cross the other day limping across the pelican on Market street

Yep. Delroy was truly "Old School" man about Town on a night out or at Saltergate back in the days when Chesterfield had some tasty lads and were well respected. Another good lad and Spireite goes to the big Spion Kop in the sky.
There aint no Soul left in these old shoes... since you've been gone

I'm just back from Delroy's funeral and you guys will be pleased to know that his brother, Rev Terence Williams, actually mentioned this thread and the kind comments.
I actually first met Del through schools football (we're the same age) and when I met him again when we both started socialising in Town, he was disgusted to find that I'm a Mansfield fan. That didn't seem to affect our friendship though, despite some of the (quite true) comments about his support for Town.
He was a good friend to many back then, myself included, and a few of us turned up to honour him, along with his lovely siblings and their families.
RIP Delroy
