Remember that summer when he was our big signing?
Glad we have moved on to the likes of Naylor, Grigg and Tyrer now.

Oh god, had an awful season narrowly avoiding relegation on PPG, then went into the next one with just him and Kyle Letheren as our entire summer transfer business.

Oh yeah, forgot about Letheren. Shudder. What a weak keeper for a big enough bloke, always going to ground with the ball even if nobody was anywhere near him.

Edit: Him, Asante, Rowe and one other not been taken to Portugal, either.

Think he looks a little leaner in that one, perhaps he doesn't want to sit in the stands and draw a wage, he wants to play his part? Think both PC and DW said last season that a fit Danny Rowe gets into any team in the NL? Could be JQ and AA out and Rowe staying?

I'm fairly sure Rowe never wanted to just sit in the stand and not play....if he had no interest in playing and just seeing out his time he wouldnt have gone to York on loan.

Bit of a pain this one for Cook.
Asante was JR'S man who after being transfer listed by Cook managed to change his opinion only to be injured and kinda put back to square one
Quigley another JR signing who has blown hot and cold then formed into a player by Cook who he could unitilise
Danny Rowe big money earner not playing and with issues
All now in contention fitness-wise and still in contract but we'd signed on Grigg and looking at bringing in Dallas.
Let's hope for the sake of Cook's plans a couple of contracted strikers move on and not stick around to fight for their place....unless Dallas doesn't sign and we need to keep one or two to play with Grigg???

Don't forget there's a pay package that's being used at the moment to try and tempt Dallas. If he doesn't sign I dare say that Cookie will have a plan B to try and bring in rather than just settle for a player that's already here. Rowe & Quigley will probably be in his plans given that they've flown out to Portugal and not stayed back here along with the others.

Maybe that is the plan B if Dallas doesn't sign.
IMO, and many will disagree im sure, but Quigley has improved under Cook. His hold up play I feel is decent and he can link up play too - he just doesn't score many, but I guess in a Cook team, tbe goals are shared and we've also signed Grigg.
Danny Rowe, if he gets back to 100%, will be like a new signing - problem is the amount of time he's not been playing.
Given he's training in Portugal and if he plays pre season, who knows.
TBH I'd call this scenario Plan C but we'll see how it pans out soon enough!
