Four four effin two

Goalie boots it high, takes two seagulls out on the way up, two pigeons on the way down, big man nods it onto his diminutive striking partner and we're on our way 🥱.

Dan Jones I think you mean. Have you also noticed that Morsy and Ryan used to always look for each other with the ball? We’ve hardly seen any of that either it’s rare our holding midfield players whoever that may be have played the ball between each other but I think we will do next season. This season has been more about getting the ball to the attacking players ASAP to try and blow teams away, next season we will require more patience. I can see the posts from the usual suspects about three games in already, gerrit forrad.

That’s how we defended by keeping possession and hardly ever giving it away carelessly. I’m pretty sure I witnessed plenty of tippy-tappy stuff this season but the midfielders and certain members of the ‘3’ just weren’t up to keeping it as the Morsy/Ryan combo and the likes of Roberts and O’Shea did.

Believe that U21s on loan DO count towards the squad limit.

Miust admit I’ve not seen this so assumed any U21 player, whether ours or on loan, don’t count as part of the 22 outfield players permitted.

It will be interesting to see which players in our current squad have triggered a contract extension as a result of our promotion. It seems Jacobs is one and I have a feeling King and Palmer might also be in that category.

Just looked at the EFL handbook, the loans thing actually only applies to Championship clubs, L1 and L2 can count them

You mean that L1 and L2 clubs don’t have to count any u21 players, loanee or not, (nor of course goal keepers).
Championship clubs do have to count any loanees, whatever age, towards their allowed maximum number- which is 25 not 22 like L1 and L2 clubs.

I agree with this, ball control and poor passing has took its toll, but hey, we won the league before Christmas so we were doing something right. Hopefully, next season we can eradicate at least some of it.

I'll give him this much, he wasn't anywhere near as bad as some strikers we've had, and he gave 100%.

Be surprised if Conn-Clarke comes here, but you never know.

IMO we don’t need him. Reinforcements needed elsewhere

I can just see it now - Harry hammers the ball long and high right down the middle, TD flicks it on and Griggy taps in from one yard - what more do you want? Only problem is that Cooky would never do it.

Conn-Clarke, this summers Dallas? if Cook wants him then make a good offer, if he refuses the look elsewhere.
East stand second class citizen.

Fully agree Mark. I said exactly same. We don't want this dragging on.

A very good point. Who does Cook drop to accommodate Conn Clarke?
We have an embarrassment of riches going forward, it's the defensive side if thinks which needs addressing

How much have we missed colclough, or dobra when not available, or even mandy, con Clarke would be great addition to the squad, you can never have enough quality, that said I can't see it happening, he will command a big fee, and a big wage, taking up a good chunk of the budget
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

I suppose the flip side is looking forward he is potentially a valuable asset...if he has a couple of good seasons, even one good season we could be looking at selling for a good profit.

Is there actually a genuine rumour about Conn-Clarke or his he just on some peoples wish list? I also wonder at what point Cook gave up on Dallas? Probably way before many on this message board.
