I heard someone telling me that as a retailer they love Christmas markets as they another 100% to cost price.
Having Been brought up in t'peaks I would safely say Chatsworth is near the bottom of places to visit for any occasion unless you like the tyre swing over the river.

I think you might be doing the very beautiful Chatsworth House a bit of an injustice there.

Bit harsh on Chatsworth there!
Can be expensive (but what isn't nowadays)?
It's beautiful and best of its kind in Britain (I reckon) - Hever Castle and Leeds Castle also lowly on a hot sunny day

I worked at the Farm Shop up Chatsworth for a few years. No complaints from me, lovely place and the local people are equally as nice!
