If you’ve ever been to Orient you’ll find probably the oldest most sensible fan base in football! (A result of being surrounded by a lot more tempting other clubs for the youth)!

I think after 23 years it’s time for them to move on..

Agree to certain extent, but I can't help still having a dislike of Brighton. Mind you, about 90% of Brighton fans these days haven't a clue what went on 23 years ago!

Lol - like Town fans calling Scab to other fans - you’d have to be at least 50 for that to make any sense really?

Remember that game well for many reasons!

Also remember being in the pub when Brown walked in surrounded by some Town lads licking his ass.
Barry Hearn stirred it up - backed massively by that callous old b***ch aka te Hoey who wanted us kicked out of football so much.

Both sides had idiots throwing stuff (like real men do) at each other.
Can’t remember the score

Beat Leyton Orient at home 4-1 but lost the away game the following April 2-0.

They may be oldest but they aren’t displaying much sense on that thread.

I went to Leyton Orient v Southend United in the FA Cup in 1990 as a small boy randomly. And some years later trudged across London on the tube to go to a programme fair there.

The Leyton Orient message boards make fun reading, apparent we are a scumbag club

https://lofcforum.co...pic.php?t=13032

Apparently they were showered in coins, darts and large sofas back in 2000. I think the guy was joking about the large sofas but given their brain cell quota I may be wrong.

Wasn’t Barrie Hearn their chairman back then

Seeing as a Chesterfield is a large sofa that will be his funny quote

Been there a couple of times, first in 78 in a League Cup win, think Ricky Heppolette got at least one of our goals - -which was nice

Orient v Portsmouth in the ELF Trophey tonight but I doubt it’ll be a good pointer with many team changes predicted.

There are some rules about how many what are deemed regulars have to play, cant remember the exact rules but i dont think you can just blanket change the XI for loads that dont play each week.

More recently when they went up as Champions we battered them for the first 25 minutes at home under Martin allen but as usual at that time we did not score and they broke away had one shot in the first half and ended up winning 1-0

I recall the late Justin Edinburugh saying he did not know how they survived the first part of the match and that was the most pressure they were put under that season

Danny Webb would have been in the opposition dug out as well i reckon

I hope every Mother and Father of this parish explains to their kids the reason that we call them scabs so it is ingrained to their very soul to do the same for ever more.

Are we still talking of Orient? Only we’ve not played them since 14/15. They were champions of the NL the season we were relegated from League Two.

We played them in our first season in the National League , losing 1-0 at home and 3-1 away .

You're a year out they won the NL1 during our 1st season in this (so called) league, beating us twice. Rather fortunately on both occasions if I remember correctly
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire
