Good performance overall. Impressed by Raglan who was good in the air, strong in the tackle and was rarely (if ever) outpaced. Boco battled non-stop all game, as did Roberts, with both contributing defensively as well as on the attack. Clucas was solid at LB. Gnanduillet was at times very good, jumping and passing well, making himself a nuisance. Seemed to struggle with simple passes at times, and can't do a 90mins (I'm hoping it was tiredness that caused him to limp off after the game). Darikwa was great going forward, but must take a share of the blame for Gillingham's goals as he didn't close down the obvious crosser both times.

Happy I made the trip, and well done to the 249 Spireites who made the long journey on the last weekend before Xmas.

I am gutted I missed this. I was all tooled up and ready to go, but woke up this morning full of cold/flu and feeling like death. As its Christmas in 5 days, it didn't seem sensible to drag my ass 3 hours each way to sit on a cold, open stand for 90 mins. Doubt my folks would appreciate me rocking up on Monday with hypothermia. So, ended up in bed listening to the excellent Paul Fisher on Player - he's kind of like a more cultured version of Pete - sticks to the facts and doesn't pile on the drama too thick.

Anyway, sounds like a workmanlike performance with a threadbare squad and an excellent result - I really didn't fancy getting anything from this but was living in hope. Well done to everybody who did make the journey - good effort!

Great away day today. Obviously with the starting line up and the threadbare bench, you had to wonder what today would bring. Oddly I was optimistic before hand having decided that Doyle's absence would force others to step up. Well, I'm glad to say they did just that with Boco and Ryan being particularly good today. I had my head in my hands when they got it back to 2-2 but the boys dug in and turned the tide and Jimmy deservedly got a fantastic winner.
So glad I made the trip today & its nice to go home realising we do have some class players at our club. And for all you Armand knockers he caused all kinds of problems for the 2 centre backs & if the man had any luck at all he'd of bagged in the first 10 minutes but for a goal line clearance.

Mark frustrated at the lack of depth in the squad I mean 4 subs embarrassing. Terrific win though especially after being robbed against Bradford. Hope u and the family have a good Christmas. See u Boxing Day!!!! Walton.

Not what you inferred in your post though was it which was in relation to team and squad?

'Witnessed' the against the odds win v MK in Yates.

'Witnessed' the against the odds win v Gills in Yates.

There's clearly a motto to this story...

Seriously, though, magnificent three points - made even better as it was against that media darling Taylor.

Though he seems to've been usurped by tan-man at Southend recently.

Had a personal target of thirty points going into the second half of the season, a decent platform that should see us avoid any dramas.

That's more than achievable.

It is off the pitch!!!!

Completely understand the lack of depth problems, yes 4 subs is embarresing.. We're all worrying if it's Morsey or Doyle who might not see the end of January a Spireite, but if Cook isn't allowed to strengthen the squad due to the, so rightly put, off field shambles, I can see him peering over the parapet when other jobs become available!
Yep Seasons greetings as well mate..see you there.

He did pretty well. Nothing spectacular but keeps the shape and doesn't take risks.

I am so hungover. Brilliant weekend.
