Cheers.
I've just finished listening to it. Very enjoyable and I thought Phil was very cute with some of his early questions relating to what Cookie inherited. I was particularly interested to hear his views on the squad size / turnover of players, injuries, and the quality / manner in which we went about recruiting players prior to his arrival. Even to the untrained eye, it was obvious there was a problem. Why the exec team at the time signed it off for as long as they did, I will never know.
A lot of what Cookie preaches is obvious and commonsense for the majority. For him to succeed as a manager, the environment has to be right and the same applies to his players.
Make no mistake, we caught Cookie at the right time. He's in a much better place than he was two years ago and thanks to him and the backing he has received from the Kirks, we most definitely are.
Well done to Phil, Kurt and Cookie.
