Dont get me wrong i'm not dissing Ward at all, I'd love nothing more for him to sign a new deal & stay. He's improved tons since signing for us & your right playing & training with Jack has gotta have
summat to do with that. But all i was saying is some strikers are natural finishers like Sharp seemed to be at this level & i dont think anyone on here can say that Ward looks like a natural finisher.

I could see why they'd want him, but is there anything evidential behind your friend's reckoning, or is it another indulgent rumour?

Baz, no concrete evidence at all.
I can say is that he's a Blade's season ticket holder and is not normally one to send scurrilous rumours around.

Hes been spotted at bramall lane, i thought it would be sheff utd or derby all along, at least if its sheff utd and he dont play much we can have him back on loan.

Certainly not in the same league as Torquay negotiated when Ward came here. If its been reported accurately, they'll be taking a whopping 25% of the entire £400k fee, rather than a cut of the profit.
In a world where the pace of change can be quite scary at times, how reassuring it is to see that whether selling or buying, negotiating with CFC is still the same old doddle...

A post from Phil Tooley confirmed it was on profit only.

Thanks for the update.
I thought it was Hubbard who'd stated they'd be taking a quarter of the incoming fee.
Our Chairman making comments on important matters only for them to turn out to be complete tripe? Surely not...
