It's great all the players are getting their own songs, and fans like Doolan, PapiSauron et al are trying to come up with new stuff
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but when it does, we've got another song for either the stadium or a player.
Even Will Grigg mentioned in his interview after the Pompey game what a massive impact the fans have, and all the players have their own song (there's just a few that don't now, but it's only November, so this and the FB forums are where we can band new ideas about). It's also gonna make them feel really loved (as if they don't know it already!!)
I took my girlfriend to the Kidderminster away game - she's not normally that into football, but loves the atmosphere and feel-good vibes at the Town matches this season, and particularly commented on quite how many songs we've got, and the variation. We should be proud of that, and not try and stifle people putting suggestions forward for new ones. If they don't always quite work, that's fine. Try again until we get it.
Particularly in the bigger games though, it's nice to hear the old Saltergate favourite "COME ON YOU BLUES!" - quite a basic one, but really raises the roof when everyone joins in. Sounded amazing at the West Brom game last year, and nearly took off last Sunday. You can hear it in full flow at 6:45-52 on this clip against Mansfield in the Playoffs 1995 - so loud it distorted the recording on the video, and sure enough, we scored from the corner!
