I have not been to a night match at the new stadium, but did watch the Middlesbrough match on Sky, and thought at the time that there seemed to be darker areas that the floodlights didn’t illuminate as well as other areas. At the time I thought it was just a matter of them needing adjusting, but looking at the photo of the pitch being cleared of snow under floodlit conditions in the “We are making progress” article, it again appears to have areas that are darker than others. As I said earlier I have not attended a night match but would like to hear if others who have think there is a problem, or is it just a trick of the photography process?

Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth.

The lights were fine at the Accrington & Oxford games, don't think all are switched on for snow shifting

Not all the lights were on. Only about 3 per pilon.

Thanks for that info, thought they were like normal lights, either on or off! Do you think they are much brighter than the Saltergate ones, or about the same?

They meet UEFA standards so we can host international matches. I think they are slightly better than those at the Rec. For functions (and so for the work tonight) they operate at about 40%.
