carsons latest interview suggested that relegation must be avoided, well January has then to see us improve the playing squad...

Recruitment wise, very little. Wilkinson will prob stay to gain fitness. If Angel comes through tonights DC match, expect that as our 'new midfielder'. Also SEB will be back, unless another club take him on loan.
We will then see the likes of Simons, Gardner, German, Mitchell and Dennis more IMO

the first £500k that comes in after xmas will go to repaying DA's short term loans to make sure we saw xmas!
If we are going into the loan market it may be for young premiership/championship players that clubs don't mind loaning out paying all their wages still. Or players who are unattached.

Are you saying 8/9 there as you aren't sure if SEB counts as one or two?

JOS to Pompey, Evans to Blades, SEB to McD's, Angel to get injured in first game back and has to retire. Tommy to have a magnificent Jan-May almost singlehandedly keeping us up which we do on goal difference on last game. Wilson to trot out same pony game after game.

P.S He also said CT was still going to be CEO, and he will be sorting out the squad rebuild

Wasnt so much folk on here as much as clubs seemed to have a reluctance to take a punt on him in the Championship. Even when available for a lot cheaper last January only Wigan showed an interest and went through with it and they've farmed him out the moment they've got to the Championship despite the outlay on fee and wages on him. Glad to see he is doing well for Barnsley.

Didn't he have a fall out at Wigan? Also, I seem to remember a lot of Bob's board members saying he wasn't Championship material, and I can only presume they based this on him not getting into the Wigan team, which many kept harping back to Keith Hills 'not got the legs for the Championship' ramblings (or something of such ilk)

A fair few on this thread didn't rate his chances of playing in the league above (one paced...slow...cant manage without Ryan)
