Do We Really Want To Be Associated With This Questionable Enterprise.

Basically this organization cares not one jot about developing footballers but in selling a dream of football stardom to a bunch of eager kids (and their parents) and then milking them for all they are worth.
Yet another reason why I believe Turner should be given his marching orders, not only does he have no clue about how to financially manage a business but he seemingly has zero ethics as well.

Can't agree. What can be legally made to "stick" (i.e. the demonstrable legal connection between the entities involved) may well be different from the perception of who is involved, the latter being created by the website and the identity of the people involved. If the Club doesn't think it is liable, then it needs to do something about creating some distance a.s.a.p.
Righto, I'll just stick my head back in my "arris" ...

But the development are basically there to supply the academy, then onto Youth Team, reserves, and eventually go on to pro contract.
The website is a direct association with the main club, news of 'Elite Squad' matches appear regularly and so on.
The connection between the two is closer than you think.
The only reason it's being slightly pushed to one side verbally is because the Development Centre is in massive financial trouble.
Hence why a TV crew turned up with a high court sheriff!

no kid should be paying this much to be involved with a development program that is not part of a club officially
either they should be at a football club academy or they should be playing for a local amateur junior team
CFC needs to distance themselves from this enterprise and stop allowing them to use the clubs name and reputation

A Tv crew and a sheriff? The filming crew for BBC's The Sheriffs are Coming?

I do apologise it was meant as generalisation, the development is part of the club though, the club simply cannot brush it under the carpet.

it certainly looks like its associated to CFC;

Just to clarify, this link has nothing to do with the Village or the development centre run by LS, it is a separate entity.
It is confusing tho

The Development School is separate to the football club. It is a not for profit company. As well as the junior ranks a lot of funding is through the education system and the level 3 BTEC courses, like many colleges greater fees can be generated by overseas students. This also allows a bigger catchment of talented footballers of course.
I have been told that all the families that cannot make the re-arrange trip have had their money returned. The case in the press had been sorted before the article came out.
There are enough going on the April trip that this is now confirmed.

Because the difference between Cat 4 and Cat 3 is around a couple of hundred grand in FA/FL grants!
Dunno how much of that Mark Smith actually sees or how much is sidelined for 'other things', but you can see why certain folk at the Club would prefer the higher grade.

So, what status or qualifications or arrangements have the Directors achieved in order to run BTEC courses and draw down funds from the Education system?. Are they subject to Ofsted inspections?.

It covers the younger child's PPP (Development) and the scholars development matches AND the international academy players and matches, and is everything to do with the 'village' (players digs) and the centre run by LS.
As the International players live at the village.
The list of teams are all run by Sutcliffe.
It covers all those teams of which Sutcliffe runs!

All it states on Sutcliffe's LinkedIn page is "some F.A and EUFA qualifications".
