He’s had a mini defibrillator fitted and is recovering from surgery. Whether this allows him to resume his career or not is another matter

It hasn’t though, first issue was AF, this was cardiac arrest. The two at apparently totally unconnected (other than both affecting his heart).

Absolutely.
AF is actually pretty common.
All teams are now screened and it happens a lot. Nothing usually to get concerned about.
