Planning Ahead the strikers...

A little early, I know, but Lavery seems to be the most Doyle-like player we have, but he isn't ours and is probably unlikely to be here next year either.
I'd guess Armand is quite likely to be playing elsewhere as well, so can we rely on Harrison? Id say, he looks low on confidence in front of goal and needs one to go in to help him, so the jury's still out.
That leaves us with a group of inexperienced forwards with potential, but untested.
So, are our current crop of forwards the future of CFC?
Do we need to bring in new blood?
With the youngsters we have, do we now need to concentrate on experience over potential?
And the hardest question of all, anyone have any names who should be on the shopping list?

The Wednesday take-over may give us an opportunity to sign him if things could be agreed, shorly they will be looking to bring in bigger named players.

I was amazed that we offered Armand another contract having got unproven forwards like Harrison and Manny as we may need another 2 strikers
I suspect we'll be after the mobile variety and hope Manny develops into plan B

Two things significant about Satday....
1. The return to form of Banks is major. Shots, headers, superb passes, to complement Roberts. So whoever is up front now is supported and has a much easier job.
2. Those 3 points surely signaled the end of any nervous period. We can go out now, relax, and express ourselves. If that means we do so well that we scrape a playoff place, great. If not, never mind.
Maybe the key shopping list item should be some competition for Banks?. His contribution has been sorely missed, and O'Shea can't do it.

With you there. As much as I like O'Shea, he's not the answer.

If you mean Peter Vincent, I've rated him for a long time - clever player with good touch, movement, and can stick the ball in the net with head or feet. Don't think he's suited to the lone striker role in 4-2-3-1 though, as he seems to like to drift wide quite a bit.

Another significant thing about Saturday is that all the people forecasting relegation have stopped posting, perhaps they have gone on holiday perhaps until tomorrownight

2 more points from the last 6 games, and we'd have had the same points average as for all the games that Doyle was our player.

I think he means Peter Vincenti journeyman lower league type.Played wide left for Aldershot when they last played up here they kept knocking high balls into him to win everything against Brindley who was subbed by Cook during the first half of the game. 15 in 61 appearances for Rochdale.

In full agreement with all of that.
Ollie hasn't made it easy for himself recently, i hope Saturday was just the start for him.

Don't be surprised if there is another raid north of the border, during the summer......
