Perhaps there could be a special section created for arguments and insulting people.

Problem is we have threads that are good, decent info and discussion and then they get dragged downhill. Cant really have a specific section for arguments as the same ones seem to infiltrate every thread. For me, and i used to moderate a local cricket forum, that stuff would just get deleted out of a thread as it adds nothing to it.

With the recent changes to fix various parts of the board is the ignore function working properly? Cant figure out how to add people to ignore as the only person i've done it to previously was RPL back in the old days!! Getting to the point where a few may have to go on the list.

it certainly does...click on your log in name at the top, from drop down list select "manage ignored users" and away you go...

It would be interesting to know who Macclesfield fans think is the better player, James Berry or Kane Drummond. If it’s Berry then I’m not entirely convinced we need this Drummond?

James Berry, has served as our super sub this time around, but I have a feeling we'll see much more from him next season. He could even be our third striker.

Yes, hence the question, do we need a 4th choice if Berry is the better player?

I don't think we do, to be honest. I don't know if we're keeping Curtis, but if so, he needs loaning out for the season so he wouldn't be in the running. I like Berry's movement, he has a decent change of pace, and he certainly knows where the goals are. Somebody will turn up at Matlock in the striker role no doubt.

At this level there’s always going to be the need to speculate. James Berry is showing far more optimism for me that we have a player than Jez U ever did.
It might be the same re Drummond?

In fairness to Berry, he’s not proved himself as a consistent performer match after match yet when played out wide so why put extra pressure on him to perform as the “one” in our system.

We definitely do need ant least another out and out striker in our squad in my opinion. Then, if we are unfortunate enough to be without all our players accustomed to the “one” role it will be time to experiment but not until then.

Coming back to Drummond, if he is actually on the radar, then logically the management have seen something in him that will add to what we have already got. One thing I feel about the likes of Berry, Colclough, Dobra and even Jacobs is that they seem more comfortable left of centre rather than on the right. Currently, the only player totally comfortable on the right is Mandeville and, even then, I think he looks better when partnered with King. As such, we have no real pace on that side of the pitch and should we consider that is an option we should have in our armour does this Drummond provide such an option?
