Opinions ehh!! If a player, noticeabley raised his game for a one off match then the management team weren't doing their job in previous games by not getting the best out of him, similarly regarding consistency. I sit close to Cooky and co and don't recall them dishing out anyboIiockings in that regard. I agree with his passing but would counter that with he has played some superb through balls and on occasions faltered trying to do similar probably when team mates were on a different wavelength.

But it's all about what a watching individual sees. I still get stick within my circle for stating, all guns blazing that Micky Carroll (who?) would make a great player and no doubt I would be ridiculed in other circles as I think Will Grigg is a great asset to the team.

Micky carrolls claim to fame for us as I recall was scoring in a 1-1 draw at Burnley at the end of the 81/82 season

And he had played in a non league final at wembley prior to joining us

It doesnt matter what players play in what positions if those players are in such a mindset that for 90%

of the time they do not play a positive ball forward in certain areas then we will not overpower teams

    as we should

how many times did we get to positions in and around the Serbia box players were seen to try and run in front of the ball to try and get into positive positions but the player on the ball opted for a safe pass backwards?

Take the shackles off the players southgate and play to try and win in style rather than lets not lose first

When it gets to the real competition and not this phoney war stage at the moment thats when Southgates

    tactics are flawed imo

how many times have we heard that we should have blown the ageing Italian central defence away in the last
Euro final but Southgate opted for safety first tactics and the chance to win a major trophy was lost?

I have only watched 45mins of Italy match so far. I have no appetite for the Euros, I'll watch England once the Derbys. T20 is over which starts at 4pm. Southgate's negative tactics put me off, we have the quality to win the tournament but His build up play is so slow. Get the balls into their box early with quality crosses the old fashioned England way

I shall be going to Derby for the t20 match and should be back for the start of the England match but watching

derbyshire play is more of a priority for me than watching England play

Neil Warnock, wanted to end his career where it started.
Aside from Club Chiropodist it was the only job available that he was qualified for.

I dont think the majority want him to end his career where it started though
