The deal has gone through apparently.

I don't know the detail so feel free to correct me.

The club has struggled finacially under the current managing agent. That agent has taken over the club with four non-returnable annual payments of £250k. There is an interest charge of 11% on this payment.

Certainly food for thought...

How silly of them to jeopardise the future of the club. Investment is not what a club needs its minor charitable donations and a reliance on loans that are the way forward.

So whats worse 11% but get to keep the million or 6% and have to pay all monies back? Hmmmm keep reaching DP its nice to see a fans association safeguard the future of the club its a crying shame CFSS refuse to.

I notice also the 11% isnt to be paid until the club is able by selling the ground, how much have debenture holders taken out of CFC in the form of interest payments? With McFarland's budget at an all time low I hope it isnt much if anything at all.

you got that wrong T_F

what they need is a charity to own the club, one which not only is incapable of raising a bean, but one that turns down offers of funding, while cutting the managers budget.THATS the way to run a club.

if it goes wrong, you can then blame the fans for not turning up

explain your relevence
A new hope.

It looks as though York City receive £1M from JMP and receive, after sale of Bootham Crescent £110,000.
The Trust have some clout to ensure the sale/relocation is favourable for the club.
If the present site is valuable - plus grants daresay- then the new owners could make a good job of the process and have a little left to spend on the team.

It would be good to understand the motivation of JMP- are they life-long fans, for example. I am sure Town Fan would be as keen as I to know what is in it for them!

It is reassuring to know that if such a similar scenario were to present at this club, CFSS would research it fully and take a democratic decision.
Until then lets hope some message board members will join.
After all we can still complain about anything we like - plus have a say when it matters.

Yes, and if you believe otherwise you don't know your Representatives.

I could turn that by saying you dont know your colleagues.

If you believe truly believe that then why doesnt CFSS actively search for investment rather than sitting on their hands. Its not because that keeps your shower in charge is it?

Well I have to say the prestige of being a minor administrator in a Trust over seeing a lower-league football club makes up for the hours put in and the abuse I receive on here and by other means.

Thats why I said your colleagues.

Oh and stop playing the martyr if its so bad then resign, in fact considering how you are messing up this club I wish you all would and we could replace you with people who would look for investment rather than excuses.

What, like you for instance? If it's so bad, then join and change it. Much easier to whinge on here and abuse people who actually do something.

Wishing out loud and especially with unnecessarily vehement rudeness, will not make that happen . That event and any other process of change will be enacted via CFSS.

I am equally sure that however a club is run it will be a challenge for those with the responsibility and cause for abuse from some people who have none.

The tricky business of "finding" a deliverer from all evils, or White Knight, is that it is almost as rare as a kindly word from TF.

In the meantime the game must go on - helpful suggestions welcome, as DP has shown.

The standards of the minutes of said back slapping meetings are to me indicative of how useless CFSS are. If they cant even keep a simple thing like this properly then God help us if they ever get near running the club again.
