Neither was ours. It was a day for defenders, when no creative players shone on either side. A bobbly pitch and a strong wind always renders any match at any level a lottery, allowing defences to shine.

First time for many a season we now have found ourselves a proper corner taker. Every ball that Banks put in from a corner caused them problems and where right on the money. Shame we haven't got anyone to actually ram the ball home.
I personally thought we played well enough, but lacked penetration and that decisive ball that can hurt teams.

...and Sam Morsy looked tired, morose, sullen. I wonder if he's playing with an injury. There's summat up.

You've got to be joking? How can anyone select a right footed player to play left back is beyond me. I'd rather see Clucas there with Talbot centre forward to be honest, if in deed Drew has to play. Talbots very bad pass to Morsy resulting in a foul by Morsy to get the ball followed by head in hands and then the sky blast over the bar from Talbot focused my mind on him with the conclusion he's looking more and more like a player out of his depth. That showing today was dire, mainly due to the fact the team is unbalanced and desperately missing a proper striker, not a fill in like Clucas and players out of position. What is wrong with Jones?

Agree, not the same Sammy as we all know and love. Hope he's saving himself for Bradford
I'm off to Tunisia in a few hours so can't make the Bradford trip, please roar the lads on to three points and again at Yeovil (those that are travelling) to set us up nicely for when I return for the Easter Monday fixture. You'll certainly hear me from Africa
COME ON YOU BLUESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

He's not playing with any grit and determination is he. Think he's going through the motions and basically trying to look the part. Much preferred is enthusiasm and smile on face style of play when he first came here. He better pull his socks up for me and less focus on his looks and hair style.

The word is out - stop Morsy and Ryan and you stop Chesterfield, and to some extent it works. The big plus is that while teams are busy sitting on those two they can't contribute much to their own attacks, as we saw today, but it does result in a restricted supply to our attackers as we saw again today.
So the defence looks good and gets the plaudits, whilst the midfield and attack, with a much harder job, get accused of having an off-day. We should probably give the MoM to Clucas, who wasn't at his best but laboured very well with next to no support to keep things going forward.
The marking of Morsy and Ryan also seems to have much more effect on Morsy. Ryan is likely to show up anywhere on the pitch and lose his marker, whilst Morsy is much more limited to central midfield and gets the hassle.
Cookie will sort it.

Talbot is out of position, and obviously so, but we still look a better side when he plays. Don't ask me why, we just do. Might be something to do with his speed, which is back to where it was years ago and makes you realise how much slower he was when carrying the injury, or it might be that he brings the best out of other players, or just his sheer character, but he definitely adds something beyond the nuts and bolts.
He obviously isn't comfortable with playing on the left, but he's the best option.
I'd go along with trying him as the striker though. Might be an option if we finally lose the chance of the play-offs.
