To say the least its not been a good day - but the final straw was to be confronted by the image of our self serving MP on Player
proclaiming that the B2 Net Stadium "is a great asset to the town" which is more than I can say for him.
We should be thankful that its not an asset his local party can sell off like Tapton golf course and similar plans for the Winding Wheel.
As another poster suggested they'll all "come out the woodwork" on opening day maybe Mr Holmes can bring along some of the £9900
"windfall" he got on the flat we rented for him; and buy us all a drink. Oh and bring a couple of the four cameras we paid for, to get a few shots
for the Focus propaganda sheet.
Did you honestly expect that self promoting bandwaggon jumper to miss out on a photo opportunity?
Jeez, i thought everyone knew that Lib Dem politicians appear like the shopkeeper in 'Mr Ben' whenever a photographer removes his lens cap.
Strangely, they're far less likely to be seen when questions surrounding the mess they've made of our town's finances require answers.
As for Holmes, he might be good at getting his face in the media as often as humanly possible, but what exactly has he done for the town of Chesterfield?
PS: interesting to hear Cameron claim he speaks on behalf of "the ignored" this morning (though his words were slightly garbled given the silver spoon in his mouth). That'll be everyone living on a Chesterfield council estate, then. After all, when was the last time any of us saw a Tory politician? Mind you, i'm not complaining...
