This tweet seems to confirm Drummond is off from Macclesfield now and actually mentions CFC as his destination. Some comments from macc fans saying he’s stupid to leave them for us!

He made 8 starts for Pompy last season and came off the bench 3 times. 7 of those starts he played the full 90.

Their fans seem to rate him from the few comments I have seen. Sounds like it could be a good bit of business.

Apologies, I should have made it clearer. I should have put he made 2 league starts last season. Just double checked and he actually made 3 league starts, not 2.

Most players contracts dont end until the end of June (EFL Players) so wouldnt exoect anything until July time. Imagine Drummond has only been announced because its been done ages and he was playing in the 9th tier or whatever it was

Very similar to last season when we announced Hobson straight away then waited what seemed an eternity for more player announcements.

Plus players away on holiday after the season has finished meaning they aren’t around for the obligatory scarf holding pic for announcing things.

Now we're back in the league I feel pretty relaxed about it all re: signings.

Last season it all felt like its now or never. This time I'd not been waiting in anticipation for the retained list, nor will I be the same on incomings/outgoings.

The Cook/kirks effect has plenty to do with that. There is just a sense of calm in the air, there's progress off the pitch and things will happen when they do on it and I'm sure cook will get the players in that will do enough to at least put in a solid campaign of consolidation.

Feels odd but I'm actually at ease with it all - probably for the first time I can remember really.

I’m the same, we sort of knew who was going and staying so didn’t understand the desperation of some to see it. There is an air around the club of folk running things knowing what they are doing both on and off the field. Also the season hasn’t even finished as yet, efl playoffs are still happening, prem league still got 2 games to go, contracts still got a number of weeks to run so this period was always going to be quiet.

Think with Drummond signing non league contracts and the non league season at most levels have ended so they are good to move.

Yep instead of a massive turnover of players, potentially a change of manager etc. Far more settled and efficient way of doing things.
