The club are playing it down as we don't want to lose another player this window.

A question for the armchair referees on here (that's all of us). If Gnanduillet's foot had connected with the defenders head would/should he have been sent off?

My viewpoint of what the decision would have been? It's fine and dandy in the penalty box, but when it's on the halfway line, refs invariably brandish the red card. (Wrongly for me).

Super goal, and a great way to warm up those shooting boots.

Great goal no doubt credit where it's due. I think the most telling part of that though is how the commentators couldn't stop laughing about it. He could probably try that another hundred times and not score, bless him

I think opposite.. The obscure overhead kick he's liable to rattle in more than once! However 1 on 1 with the goal keeper.. He'd try a hundred times and not score! 😂

. . . And moving to the half way line as soon as the goal was scored. No celebrations . . . etc.

The commentary is from Spireite Player and was in part done from a feed using a mobile phone as the line was down. The commentators are James Marples and co-commentator Stuart Basson but on the phone for the first half it was done individually. The pictures came from The Burnley tactical camera which is why it is set on a wider view than normal.

Full service including specific video commentary and our own camera will be back for the competitive games.
