Maybe questions need to be asked about him. We have been blaming the defence all the time for the amount of goals we've conceded (ok, they're not completely blameless) but the Oldham goal, the equaliser last weekend and now the goal today. He's supposed to be the last line of defence and whilst he has saved us at times (like all goalkeepers do) he doesn't fill me with confidence right now.
Maybe it's time to give an established NL keeper a game or two?
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

He knows he could have done better, kept us in it with his save in the first half.

Dropping him will do his confidence no good at all.

He’s a good goalkeeper and he’s getting better. Their goal was not his fault but I suspect we need someone to bash this week.

That’s a no from me. Punch today lands 40 yards out, we don’t close down the crosser, lose the first header and don’t track the runner!! But if you want to blame Tyrer go ahead. We are always going to invite pressure by playing 4 attackers….. 6 out of 8 wins ain’t a bad start

Dagenham had one of those today- over 260 appearances.
See our third goal.

If their goal wasn’t his fault who’s was it? It was a pi$$ poor punch which he could easily have caught which came straight back in resulting in the goal.

Seems to be getting worse to me. His distribution almost cost us another goal. Punching the ball under no pressure cost us again regardless of what happened afterwards.....catch the ball and the rest wouldn't have happened simple as that. Time for a rest and
Boot to get his boots on.

Tyrer needs dropping. Not impressed at all. Boot is a good experienced keeper.

He punched the ball, cleared the 18 yard box with ease, a good 25 yds. The ball fell to one of their players who our midfielders gave as much time as he wanted to pick the pass. No one pressed him and he put a great pass to the back post where those defending fumbled it. Williams failed to get the better of Rees who was allowed to get a toe on it and poke it in the goal.

Tyrer did his job to clear his lines. He can catch and he catches well but he must have thought a punch was safer for him than the catch.

That’s how I saw it.

Totally agree. But tonight it’s Tyrer’s turn instead of Grigg!!

He’s a young goalie and looks decent enough, very good shot stopper and a big upgrade on both of last years goalies

Interesting recent extreme couple of posts in this thread. One from the doom merchant king and one from the happy clapper in chief. Two extremes. Maybe the truth is somewhere in between.

I would never call Walton a happy clapper.

I think most people see it differently. Under no pressure . Catch the cross.
