Tonight and Saturday have the potential to be a rerun of the damaging double defeat to Daggers and Maidenhead last year. I am confident Cook et al will instill this into the players and we get two professional performances against sides who probably won’t come here and park the bus like Oldham did

They play on the counter. Park the bus and hope to attack on the break.

We need to be switched on at the back
A new hope.

Tonight and Saturday also have the potential to see us stretch out our lead at the top, and be in pole position after the first quarter of the season. We are looking more solid at the back, and extremely dangerous going forward. The enormous number of chances we created at Ebbsfleet shows that we are good enough to beat any opponents in this league.

Tweet from Paul fisher….

“Been reliably informed that Chesterfield are set to have the highest number of home supporters attending on a Tuesday night in their history this evening against FC Halifax Town.

Incredible numbers.

PC knows better tha us but DJ didn’t even feature in the squad last time. By not putting Berry to start dare I say it is he becoming a bit too cautious?

I hope he knows better than me but against such a defensive unit like this I can’t see DJ being the key to unlock the door

Hope he’s right but if not he makes the changes fairly quickly

Should be a comfortable victory tonight and another good opportunity for a clean sheet. These don't score.

Thought the impressive Berry would be a shoe-in.

Puzzled...

Read the interview from Webb today, I’d say it’ll be a few weeks yet for Berry, needs to show his defensive discipline before the trust is placed in a first 11 spot, great impact player though against tiring legs.
Plus as others have said, we hit a period of 2 games every week so I expect tweaks moving forward

I suppose on the back of our first clean sheet you can't change it ( defence),we have been moaning enough, plus you have to give players a run,on reflection it could work ,berry to come on late
