I believe he can play in the championship, but the top flight and international honours? Not so sure about that.

I'm forming my opinion on his rate of improvement. If he improves again at the rate he has for the past 2 years, and does so a few more times, I see no reason why he couldn't play in the top flight. International maybe pushing it a bit far, but you never know. All I know is I am eternally grateful that we have him for at least another 2 years. :)

Can anybody remember that keeper we got on loan from peterborough? Late 80's. He would run out onto the pitch wearing a mask and bowed down infront of the kop. Can't remember his name but he was a good keeper though.
But in answer to your question.
I still reserve my judgement on Tommy. Whilst he's come on bigtime over the last two seasons I still think that Mercer, Pollitt were leaps and bounds ahead of him, but he's still young and still learning and with Crossley tutoring him you never know he might just join the list of greats. Hopefully.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

My mate sliced his finger with a chisel in Rogers class, was temporarily treated and told to sit and wait while a spare teacher was found to take him to hospital. Frank Clover (metalwork) was the spare teacher who entered the room and bellowed for my mate to come forth, my mate trying to act all hard and trying not to show pain jumped to attention and knocked himself out on the overhead medical cabinet Classic

Lack of height may be a factor as regards being a top notch keeper, but wait shilton was no giant he was world class.

I dont see that as a problem TBH.

He has improved greatly since `Norm` has been working with him, and he is worth half a dozen points a season.

One weakness is still miss judging crosses sometimes, maybe a lapse in concentration?

I`m sure he will get better with the coaching staff working on him. He has been good for CFC, and CFC have most definately been good for the career of TL
A new hope.

Away at Barnet

If your refering to Roche - well he has found his level.

I spoke to a forest ST holder in derby this week, he said that they should have kept Lester, and that Roche was the worse keeper he has seen in a derby kit....EVER.

dont ya mean forest

Tommy has done really well this year and here's the but, I still think he has a long way to go, he needs to dominate more in the box and work on crosses a good bit more. His rate of improvement has been nothing short of amazing from the keeper who looked scared to death when he first came to a really good lower league keeper. If he keeps improving at that rate we are going to have a seriously good keeper in tommy in a year or two. The only thing that may work against him as a top flight keeper is that he is a bit on the small side. And thats all he wrote.....well typed
