Obviously, Anderson has a lot to learn and needs experience. I like him though. He is committed, goes about his business quietly but positively. Can only improve.

I don't know if it was a negative or if it spoiled the match for anybody but there was a strange looking bloke popped up on the screen at one point, summat about it being his birthday

How you can find negatives in today's performances is bewildering, why single out a great servant to the club in Drew Talbot he wasn't bad at all, red card to you my friend...

I wish everybody would give as much effort and run as far as Drew does. If the rest of the team did we wouldn't be down near the bottom of the table. Drew made a few mistakes but that was because he is always given 100%, whereas a few others seem to hide. Would be interesting to know how many touches he had compared to others.

I was disappointed with how easy their number 9 lost Anderson when Tommy made the first of his saves, that was very shoddy. Other than that he was pretty solid

Banks...great performance
Novak....absolute class
John...great acquisition & will fit in very well
Ariyibi ....They absolute shiz themselves when he had the ball, get consistency into his game & our next big money player
Conor D...good performance & definite potential
Anderson...solid, solid defender & need him for the season
Hird....typifies what a captains role should be, love this bloke
Slight negative!!
Poor first half from Talbot with his lack of pace & positioning exposed..better second half
Negatives!!!
Mani!!! WTF?? No desire, no application...Novak giving him the biggest rollicking typified that...needs loaning out.
CFC...this was a game where the attendance wasn't going to be the best...why oh why, don't they have the foresight to do kids promotions for these games & fill the ground more??
Great solid result today though...got to say Ariyibi for the second was class & Conor D for the third was very Morsyesque
I'm gonna claim an assist for the first goal.
Since we've moved to the new place there've been a number of occasions when I've missed Town scoring 'cos I've been on the throne. So when I got the urge yesterday I sat with my ass over the watter in a degree of hope...if you see what I mean. Sure enough my cunning plan worked - laxatives for me every home game from now on!
Seriously, though, agree with your summation. Crewe have a reputation for playing football and were very open in their approach. That allowed Banks the time to spray passes around and, amazingly, earn the MOTM award in my eyes.
My only worry would be we've once again turned into a team of dwarves and might suffer at the hands of more robust outfits. Bizarre, then, that the largest lad on the pitch - Dieseruvwe - is the most power-puff.
Needs to change his butcher, methinks...

No one is disputing what Drew has done at the club, or his passion for the team, but yesterday he had a shocker, it happens.
Oh and Mani, I'm puzzled as to how the lad is our 3rd choice striker, I'd have preferred to give Slew a chance at 3-1 in all honesty.
On the plus side, John looks a quality signing, Connor and Ollie Banks in the centre played well and Lee Novak was key and will be for the rest of the season.

Talbot played well after a dodgy first 20 mins. A negative for me today was SEB. Yes he scored but was watching him closely second half and he didn't look bothered

Chris, I agree with your comment regarding the average size of the team we had out yesterday.
The lack of height in defence, in particular, could be worrying - whilst Anderson is tall he needs a few more steaks. We have both O'Neil and Jones to come back, it seems, soon and each of these is taller than those that played yesterday but neither is particularly dominant in the air. And, the season might be over before Evatt is match fit.
In midfield, we do have Liddle available again in a couple of matches time. Ariyibi and Banks aren't small but aren't combative in the air, similarly Gardner and Donohue. Dimaio, again, is taller than Ryan and, possibly, Morsy but lacks the upper body strength of the latter.
Then, up front, we have SEB who is dwarfed by every CB he plays against and Novak who, again, ain't small but his strength is not in the air.
I think, yesterday, Crewe had a few Giants whilst we had none is more to the point and, as a result, we looked weak in dead-ball situations.
