But looks a decent left wing back and left midfielder. "2 out of 3 ain't bad". Shall we nickname him meatloaf?

I think he's one of the few players Caldwell signed who does actually fit the way he wanted to play. JBW is a left wingback which fits his preferred 3-5-2 formation. He can play left back too but he isn't the best defensively by the looks of it.

It’s a bit of an indictment that Spireites, self included, can’t come up with a single realistic potential signing for January in response to DIFH’s thread.

In view of the relative poverty of many non-league teams, if you recruited cleverly, you could probably take players like Kane Smith from Borehamwood, Brundle from Dover, Afolayan from Solihull, Ngwatala from Kiddie, Ferrier from Dagenham, all of whom would readily step up to our level and have a bit of cash left over.
The trouble is we all take the view that money from any sale tends not get reinvested in the team, even if/when we recruit from the bargain basement.

Think a finisher is more important because no matter how we play we always conceded at least one.

We have a finisher, we need players to create chances for him

One of Jack's U.23 lads at Forest, loaned out to Notts County but his deal is up in January. 20 games and 11 goals so far.
Not too tall an order if Jack makes the call and not Ashley...

Good call. Though Forest would rightly see this move as no progression for the player and be looking for a League One placement.

That is my fear as well, but I have this slim hope that having spent most of last season with them, and the "Jack factor" that Forest would look kindly on us this time and think another 5 months won't hold him back too much.
It wouldn't surprise me if we lean on Forest a little due to Jack's knowledge of the U.23's; to me, it's an obvious well to draw from. I don't see any permanent signings on the horizon, but there's a definite and obvious young talent pool to look at.

If Dennis gets injured who takes his place ?
If we need height at the front to cope with tall defenders .
If we decide to change tactics and go 4 4 2.
Yes we've got Ugwu but it may take a long long time for him to get up to speed, as I don't see that happening anytime soon.
