Unlike some people who bizarrely weren’t bothered about breaking the record I very much was. Contrary to their claim that records aren’t important they are as they can last for all time. It was always going to be a tall order and now with 30 points needed and only 36 left to play for looks all but impossible.
However I would still like us to reach 100 points or more as that is still a great achievement.
Equally importantly go unbeaten at home all season as I have never known that before. We have also scored in every game bar one so far and hopefully we can maintain that. Obviously the title is the priority but there’s still other things to try to achieve too.

We break the records then the title will be in the bag. The more records broken just means that the more glorious the title win will be.

Will we break Wrexhams points total?..not a chance. We we end up with less points than we thought a few weeks ago?..most definitely. Are we on a bit or a blip?..of course we are.
Is our automatic promotion place in danger?..No and am I worried about next season?..No

Exactly. This is why I couldn’t understand people who weren’t bothered about records. We have won titles before in my lifetime, but this will be the highest points total, fewest defeats (hopefully) and most goals scored I think. Having said that1970 was two points for a win.

Wrexham broke the record as they were pushed to pretty much the very last day. They couldn’t ease up at all.
Our players have already mentally won the league and are playing with complacency.
We’ll do well to get 100 points I think.

To be clear, I’m personally not bothered if we do or not. It’s all about winning the league. If we get 100 then great but I won’t lose sleep if we do.

We certainly won’t break Wrexham's record. The 7 points dropped in the last 2 weeks has put paid to that.
We’d need to win almost every game left and won’t. I can’t see us winning at Barnet, Oldham or Gateshead as we struggle away against the top teams.

If we aren’t going to break the record - disrespecting the FA Trophy and the fans who went to watch that was a disappointing unwise decision.

Unwise? In what way.? Just imagine the posts on here if we had overcome Barnet in the last round- still had Bromley to play in the Cup, and had the last 3 results we’ve just had, with spare dates running out for rearranged mid week games. Complete Micky Mouse Cup for us.

FA Trophy, I don't give a FA for it to be honest. If we'd took it seriously and lost someone like Tom Naylor or Will Grigg with a season ending injury, what then if it cost us promotion?

The fans knew well in advance the first team wasn’t playing. No disrespect at all.

It would have been a nice day out if it wasn’t at Wembley. Let’s face it once we have won the league the last month or so will be bit boring.

On the other hand looking at the Barnet message board a few are regretting not doing a ‘Chesterfield’ but then again with their league situation and injuries they could do without it

Love to remain unbeaten at home, then break the club record for most points in a campaign. Would love 100 points but that’s unlikely to happen as it will mean winning at least all the home games plus 3 away which won’t happen based on current form.

We have 5 home games left, and need 6 more wins.

Can’t see us winning all 5 home games based on current form. All the away games are at sides with something to play for.

I struggle to find 6 games we will win, Oxford hopefully is one of them, but the other 5 who knows 🤷‍♂️

I’m not bothered about any ‘record’ just want to get out of this league and back to where we belong.
It’s as simple as that.

We must have one of the most bizarre fanbases in the country

I can’t blimey wait for next season when we aren’t 20 points clear, be folk slinging themselves of infront of the team bus on the bypass most weeks

And the Fa Trophy is an abomination, imagine having that on our honours list for the next 100 years reminding us we had to suffer this cesspit of a league

Yep I for one am embarrassed that we have even played in the FA trophy, never mind winning it.
