We have not yet filled all of the places on the Futsal scholarship scheme. This is open to anyone 16 or 17 in September.
We are awaiting the GCSE results when school-leavers intentions become firmer.
This is a two-year educational foundation with the Community Trust leading to internationally recognised qualifications.
It consists of eight hours a week of coaching, fortnightly games representing the Club in a FA regional league (plus friendlies) and two days a week academic work.
Entry requirements: 4 GCSE’s or equivalent at C grade or above, preferably including English & Maths. We also hope participants aspire to play football to a standard fitting of the representative game.
It is expected that the competitive side will be exclusive to boys but there has been intererst from girls who might be part of a regional pilot on the coaching side.
Expected qualifications:
Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport – worth up to 3 A Levels, and allows entrance to University
L1 Futsal Coach
L1 Futsal referee
