I was queuing for the toilet with them, lots of 118 marathon runners, and curly haired scousers with 'tashes and shell suits, it all made a great atmosphere

I know Maidenhead well and it’s a dull commuter town which lacks spirit. Perhaps the football club is a nexus for the community - the crowds there are certainly less blue-blooded than the average person around there. Fair play to them for their excellent support yesterday.

They certainly seemed like a decent bunch. Wish I hadn't seen the middle aged bloke dressed as Tinky Winky though. Fair put me off my first pint (don't worry, I rallied).
